Our Story

Since 2006, John Rogan has been creating delicious smoked-foods in his artisan smokery in the midlands of Ireland. From smoked eel, salmon and trout to his latest offering of smoked sugar, John has developed a technique to bring the best flavours to you.

With Rogan’s Smoked Sugar he has done more than refine an old tradition. Guided by a well-developed palate, he fuses a unique smoking technique with his Irish touch to create the most interesting, powerful flavour. We make everything in small batches from the home base in Co. Westmeath. You’ll find our products at local farmers’ markets or contact us to arrange delivery of the perfect amount of smoked sugar.

We use Demerara sugar combined with the wood-smoke from whiskey barrels. The combination of the bitter smoke with the sweetness of sugar, creates a sublime taste experience.
